What we store

• Your account email address
• Your CV content — the text you upload or enter during onboarding
• Job descriptions you add to your pipeline
• The scores and documents Evident generates from that content
• If you are a coach and write to us through the coach form: your name, email address and coaching practice, and the website and message you choose to add. They are stored in the same EU-hosted database. So that we see your enquiry, a copy is emailed to us through our email provider, Resend, which keeps its records in the United States. We use these details only to contact you about coaching on Evident, and delete them on request.
• If you join the early-access list, your email address is stored in the same EU-hosted database; a notice carrying it reaches us through our email provider, Resend.

Why

To produce your scored job matches, tailored CVs, cover letters, and other documents. We store your profile so you enter your story once and everything builds from it — we don't store it for any other purpose.

Where

Your data is processed in the United States. When you generate a CV, the relevant parts of your profile — your name, location, professional summary, work history, skills and education — are sent to our frontier AI provider to produce that document. When you upload a CV or a job description, the raw text is also sent to AI providers outside the EU that parse those documents and produce cover letters, LinkedIn rewrites, interview preparation and refinements. These calls go through OpenRouter only to a fixed list of model hosts selected for zero data retention, which keep no copy of what we send.

Your account data is stored in the European Union — the database is hosted in Ireland and our processing server is in Germany. Payment processing and website analytics also involve providers outside the EU. These transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not send your data anywhere it is not needed to run the service you asked for.

Who sees it

Your data is never sold, and we do not run third-party advertising.

To run the service we use a small number of providers:

• Supabase (Ireland) — the database that stores your account and your documents.
• Hetzner (Germany) — the server that runs job discovery and CV generation.
• Anthropic (United States) — the AI model that writes your tailored CVs.
• OpenRouter (United States) — passes the cheap-tier model calls to model hosts selected for zero data retention.
• Resend (United States) — the email provider that delivers to us the notice of each early-access sign-up, a daily list of new account email addresses, and coach enquiries.
• Stripe (United States and Ireland) — Stripe is the seller of your purchase, takes the payment, handles VAT and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy as merchant of record; we never see or store your card details.
• Vercel (United States) — website hosting and page analytics.

These providers, other than Stripe, work on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to: give you a copy of your data; correct anything wrong; delete your account and everything in it; export your data in a portable form; or object to a particular use.

Write to us at the contact address below and we will respond within one month, as the GDPR requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, your documents and your job data. Records we are legally required to retain — payment records, for tax purposes — are kept for the period the law requires and nothing longer.

Deletion

Email us and we will delete your account and all associated data. We aim to confirm within five business days, and we will always respond within one month.

Who we are

Evident is operated by Olga Matveeva, Klinkerweg 9, 4123 Allschwil, Switzerland. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
